About Nebraska Court Docket

Nebraska court records are held at different levels. The statewide JUSTICE search brings trial-court case information together, Nebraska's court rules set the terms for public access, and the clerk at the court of filing keeps the case file. The statewide result can help identify a matter, but it does not replace the Register of Actions or document held by the local court. This reference site was created to connect public users with the right Nebraska search service, court information, or county clerk route without treating one local office as the whole state.

Why We Built This Site

Nebraska has a statewide trial index and local court files. JUSTICE, reached through Nebraska Judicial Branch eServices and Nebraska.gov, can show a case summary and a Register of Actions for public trial matters. The court where a case was filed still holds its official record. A County Court Clerk or Clerk Magistrate handles many traffic, misdemeanor, probate, and small-claims files; a District Court Clerk keeps felony-trial and major civil records. The clerk structure varies in some counties. The Browse Counties directory routes readers to all 93 county sites, while Docket Search begins with the statewide index.

What You Will Find Here

What We Cannot Do

Nebraska Court Docket is a privately operated reference site, not part of the Nebraska Judicial Branch, a court, or a clerk's office. The site cannot:

  • We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
  • We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
  • We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • Guarantee that a court date, fee, contact detail, or outside search result has not changed

Only the county clerk or the court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.

Search Partners

Some search boxes on the site are supplied by outside providers. Those companies operate their own tools, set their prices, and control the results and data practices. If a visitor reaches a paid service through one of these links, the site may receive a referral fee. We do not set the provider's charges or decide what appears in its search results.
